Promoting your Game or arcade SiteYou have your site completed and now its time to promote your site.
Imagine you open a store in the middle of no where, if people don't know your there, they won't come. Advertising and promoting your site is very important, however the question is "How to do this?" and the answer will vary depending on who you ask.
The cost of promoting your site will run from free and up into the hundreds. obviously the more you spend the better your traffic will be. There are also a few traps to avoid as well when promoting your site. For example some traffic exchanges are bad for your site, I tried to use WSTraffic.com and very shortly after using it I recieved an email from Google saying that using this type of traffic exchange was against their policy and if I continued then my account would be closed. So of course I stopped using it, I have heard of other people doing the same and actually having their account closed with no warning at all. What the traffic exchange does is you sign up for the exchange and you sit and watch as several websites are loaded on your screen for about 10-15 seconds each. You earn points for each site that is loaded and you view, those points are then traded for views to your site. What happens though is people will load up the viewer then walk away and rack up points, your site will recieve hits but not actual visitors. Below are several good and decent ways to drive traffic and visitors to your site, some are free and some do cost money and when possible I'll try to review each source.
